Pattachitra is an art form based in Odisha (Eastern India). “Patta” stands for “cloth” and “Chitra” stands for “Picture”. It is one of the most unique and eccentric forms of painting which is done a cloth based scroll. The pictures that are painted on the scroll depict tales about various Hindu deities.

In the 21st century, Pattachitra is not only limited to the cloth based scrolls; they have been integrated into dresses, sarees, kurtis, tops, earrings and also necklaces.
